City Wine Event 2014
Over the weekend we had the pleasure to exhibit at the 1st City Wine event, held at the Perth Cultural Centre, Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This was the latest in a string of wonderful food and wine events, held by CMS Events, showcasing tons of incredible local wineries and food producers.
Perth certainly turned on some incredible weather, considering it’s winter. Friday was the perfect night with everyone sitting back, chilling in the main marquee area to some fantastic entertainment, eating all sorts of incredible street food and tasting some amazing wines, the wineries had on offer.
We struggled to narrow down which yummy foods we would pick for dinner, but finally chose Fumi’s Japanese Pancakes & Noodles who regularly feature at the Perth Twilight Hawkers Market and Perth Upmarket, we were not disappointed!
Of course we couldn’t go past Roy’s Jumplings, they are absolutely divine little parcels of goodness. If you ever see Jumplings out at the many local events in Perth, do yourself a favour and indulge in a bowl. Roy placed an order yesterday for some Truffle & Wine Co fresh black truffles, so can’t wait to see what he creates with them this week, definitely got our mouths watering.
We had all sorts of goodies up for sampling, Gourmetchef savoury sauces, Whistlers chocolate, Ogilvie & Co honeys and preserves, Simply Stirred condiments and dukkah, but our most popular of the event, The Truffle and Wine Co Truffle Aioli, which sold out. It certainly got everyone coming back, just for one more taste.
We couldn’t possibly finish the event without coming away with some wine, think we well and truly earnt it. So maybe a few bottles from Juniper Estate, Upper Reach Winery and Swooping Magpie Wines made their way home to our place, we may have even finished one off on Sunday night, think we chose very well.
So to our next event, UnWined 1st and 2nd November being help in Subiaco, in which we will be very much looking forward to.
