A very special day is almost upon us, and it’s time to start to think about our Mums and where we are going to take them for breakfast. And while our Mothers deserve an island this Mother’s Day, alas all we can give them is a damn good Mother’s Day Breakfast.
We’ve put together a Mumumental list of our favourite Perth cafe spots that we know any Mum will love.
Flora and Fauna – Northbridge
If your Mumma is into vegetarian food, Flora and Fauna is the Mother’s Day Breakfast spot for them. All their dishes are completely vegetarian using lots of fresh produce and edible flowers.
The owner of Flora and Fauna used to be a florist, so aesthetics and edible flowers are essential to every dish.
If you want to spoil Mum even further, they sell stunning flower arrangements at the café.
Perth City Farm – East Perth
Treat Mum to a different Mother’s Day breakfast experience. City Farm is Perth’s only Urban Farm, serving up dishes using produce straight from the garden. The meals are simple, wholesome and healthy.
Perth City Farm also hosts a farmer’s market, with organic produce, retail stalls and live music.
Cafes North of the River
Hobart Deli – Mt Hawthorn
A truly wholesome café, their slogan – ‘everything good’.
This little nook known as Hobart Deli has our hearts. This café dishes up delicious breakfast options. Sweeten up your Mum with their signature French toast. It’s good (we’ve tried it more than once).
Mary Street Bakery – Highgate
If your Mum likes all things sweet, then you’ve hit the motherlode. Mary Street Bakery in Highgate, make decadent pastries including fig, pistachio and custard cruffins. Their food is seriously inventive, you can expect anything from Middle Eastern-inspired dishes to fried chicken with buttermilk pancakes.
Voyage Kitchen – Sorrento
Located in the northern ‘burbs, Voyage Kitchen dishes up delicious fresh food and excellent coffee. You’ll find vego, vegan and gluten-free dishes, with something to suit every palette.

Mandoon Estate – Swan Valley
If you’re looking for a fancy upmarket spot to take your Mum for Mother’s Day, Mandoon Estate is the answer.
Spoil Mum with delicious house-made danish and pastries and their delicious smoked salmon truffle scrambled eggs.
Black Swan Wines – Henley Brook
Truly heartwarming food.
Black Swan Wines offers unrivalled views of vineyards with the backdrop of the Darling Ranges. Enjoy delicious meals, that combine Australian, French and Mediterranean cuisines. And if you’re both up for it after breakfast, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting.
Cafes South of the River
The Little Banksia – Kensington
If you’re looking for a Perth Mother’s Day breakfast spot, Little Banksia has a lot to offer. Their delicately plated dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious. Their buttermilk pancakes are like no other. Topped with fresh edible flowers, peanut brittle shards, strawberry consommé, and poached pear.
This little gem gets full very quickly, so bookings are essential if you want to score a spot for you and your Mumma.
The Imp – Victoria Park
Located on the main Vic Park Café Strip, The Imp serves up a diverse range of breakfast options using the best seasonal produce. They also offer a range of freshly baked cakes and cookies. It gets better, their breakfast menu is served all day, just how we like it.
If your Mum is a late riser and prefers breakfast in the afternoon, this is the perfect Perth Mother’s Day breakfast spot.
Crown TWR – Burswood
The high tea at Crown Perth is not something you want to miss out on. Treat your Mum to decadent desserts at the TWR High Tea. TWR offers a unique twist on the traditional high tea, including the addition of cocktails. Chocolate macaroons, chocolate cigars and chocolate espresso martinis – It’s everyone Mums dream.
The Cool Room – Fremantle
Hidden in the shady streets of Fremantle, The Cool Room is a unique and quirky Perth Mother’s Day breakfast spot. The meals are elaborate, fresh and artfully arranged. The halloumi salad topped with pomegranate is not to be missed.
Take your Mum back in time with their authentic retro furniture and a mix of blues and folk-rock singing from their old record player. If your Mum likes to collect antiques, the Old Values store is located right next door. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and then browse shelves of vintage delights.

Typika – Claremont
Claremont café, Typika, is always a favourite. So popular in fact, if you don’t book a table in advance, you’ll be waiting for an hour.
This Mother’s Day breakfast spot is located in a converted warehouse with exposed- brick walls and an industrial interior. Typika is known to experiment with typical breakfast dishes, think spiced beef benedict or black sticky rice with mango and coconut.
John Street Café – Cottesloe
John Street Café is a classic Perth Mother’s Day breakfast spot. This café is full of charm and nestled under Norfolk pine trees. A long-time favourite with Cottesloe locals, John St Café serves up wholesome breakfast dishes combined with friendly service.
